Good deal for the price

I was looking for a budget-friendly option in Vegas and found a pretty decent rate for a Select King room. I kept an eye out for discounts and managed to get a little off the standard price. The room was basic but clean, which was all I really needed. Going up the tower was a nice bonus, and the ticket wasn't too expensive. For what I paid, it felt like a solid deal. I'd consider staying again if the price is right.

Detailed stay at The STRAT

My recent stay at The STRAT was for three nights in an Elite King room. The online booking process was straightforward on their website; I used a promo code I found, which applied correctly. Check-in at the front desk was a bit slow, about 20 minutes, even though I arrived mid-afternoon. The room itself was spacious and had a decent view, though not of the Strip. Housekeeping was consistent. I also purchased SkyPod Observation Tower tickets online beforehand. Entry to the tower was smooth with the pre-purchased tickets, and the observation deck provided excellent views of the city. We also tried 108 Eats one evening, which was convenient but nothing extraordinary. Parking was validated, which was a plus. The location is at the far end of the Strip, so walking to other casinos takes some effort, but taxis and ride-shares were readily available. Overall, it was a practical choice for a Vegas trip, offering good access to their unique attractions.

Fun trip, easy booking

Just got back from Vegas, stayed at The STRAT. Booked a Select Queen room. It was pretty chill, nothing fancy but clean and comfy. We went up to the tower, that was cool. Booking on their site was super easy, no problems there. Had a good time.

Good hotel, minor issues

I booked an Elevate King room for a weekend stay. The room itself was nice and clean, and the view from the SkyPod was great. Getting my tickets online was easy enough. However, check-in took a bit longer than I expected, and the resort fee felt a little steep on top of the room rate. Overall, good value for Vegas, but they could streamline the check-in process.

Hey, thinking of booking a room here for spring break. Is the resort fee ridiculous? Some places really gouge you.

W William Perez 1 week ago
It's pretty standard for Vegas now, like $40-something a night last time I went. You get Wi-Fi and gym access, I think.

Yeah, pretty much every hotel on the Strip has one. It's listed when you book, so no surprises there. Nothing out of the ordinary compared to other places.

i'm a nevada resident, can i get a deal on the tower tickets? or is that just for rooms?

O Olivia G. 1 week ago
Yeah, they usually have a specific rate for Nevada residents for the tower. Just show your ID at the ticket counter.

Definitely. I've used it before, saved a few bucks. Just make sure to bring your driver's license.

Anyone know if they actually check for military ID for those discounts? My brother is a vet but his ID expired.

A Aaron Hernandez 3 weeks ago
They usually ask for it at check-in or when you're booking if it's an online thing. Might need to call them directly to see what they accept if it's expired.

I've used the military rate before, they did check my current ID. Wouldn't risk it with an expired one, might lose the discount.

Is the Strat walkable to other cool spots or is it kinda isolated up there?

L Linda Phillips 1 week ago
It's definitely on the Strip, but it's at the very north end. You can walk a bit, but for the main action like Bellagio or Caesars, you'll probably want a cab or bus.

Nah, it's a trek to the central Strip. The monorail is an option from nearby, or just plan on using ride-shares.

How long does it typically take to get the confirmation for a room booking? Need to make sure it's set before my flight.

A Amanda R. 3 weeks ago
Mine was pretty much instant, just got an email right after. Check your spam though, sometimes they end up there.

Took a few minutes for me. If you don't see it within an hour, maybe give 'em a call just to be safe. But usually it's quick.
